CoolerMaster making pro-gaming an easier affair
Those who are familiar with the name
CoolerMaster will know all about their line of computer casings, CPU and laptop
coolers, but they've ventured well into gaming peripherals lately with the CM
Storm brand, which gives us the CM Storm Sentinel Advance.
The CM Storm Sentinel Advance is made with
micromanagers in mind, as it allows players to map important shortcut keys to
the mouse, with up to eight programmable buttons and five OLED light profiles
for different games. To make things a lot more interesting, you can also upload
your gaming clan's logo to the OLED light profile management screen to make it
your own personal custom device.
It also has 64kB of built-in memory to
store all your macros and profiles, which allows you to bring the mouse around
and plug it in any computer without having to install any drivers. There is
also a weight adjustment system which consists of five 4.5 gram metal weights
that allows you to adjust its weight of to your liking.
Made from a mix of ABS plastic and rubber,
the Sentinel Advance provides an excellent grip and the well placed buttons
ensure that your fingers are not positioned awkwardly. The rubberised grip

The sensitivity levels on the Sentinel
Advance can go up to 5,600 dpi, making it versatile for whatever games you're
playing, be it Starcraft II, Modern Warfare or Skyrim. The twin-laser system
meanwhile tracks both the X and Y axis of movements to ensure a precise
tracking performance.
The only big flaw that we find with the
Sentinel Advance is that it's ergonomically-designed to only fit right-handed
mouse users. This is certainly a huge letdown for southpaws who look forward to
use this otherwise excellent mouse.
