of the camera, but they seem a little soft. The lens has min focusing distance
of only 1 cm which allows impressive macro shooting.

Noise is low at ISO 80, 100 and 200, but
there’s a small gap in the detail at ISO 400. The lost details becomes a little
worse at ISO 800 and one more time it’s the same at ISO 1600, with the images
become a little softer at this setting. One more time, there’s noise increment
of the images at ISO 3200, but the image quality remains pretty well. when
shooting in P/S/A/M mode which you can use the Hi1 settings, this setting is
equivalent to the ISO 6400 standard, but the image quality is pretty bad, so,
it’s best to avoid it, unless you’re shooting images to share on the web.

Under our incandescent light, auto white
balance (AWB) creates a suitable image with the details having very soft
colors, with the incandescent preset performing slightly better. Under the
fluorescent light AWB delivers an amazing result, with all of the 3 fluorescent
preset modes creating images with a cast of detailed colors.

Nikon Coolpix P520 is available on the
market with the price of 440$. You can buy other cameras with 50x optical zoom,
such as Canon PowerShot SX50 HS pricing at 525$, Fujifilm FinePix SL1000 450$ and
Sony Cybershot HX300 600$. Fujifilm FinePix S8500 available at 375$ has 46x optical
zoom and FinePix HS50 42x has the price of 610.5$. Olympus SP-820UZ is also for
sale at 283.5$ and has 40x optical zoom.

Nikon Coolpix P520 is a pretty good update
version of P510, but we’re kind of having a little bit of surprise when seeing
that the optical zoom hasn’t been expanded to 50 times to compete with the
cameras having bigger zoom from Canon, Fuji and Sony. The sensor has been
increased to 18 megapixels and the screen is 3.2 inch big besides, there’s not
many changes, you will also realize the particular packing method, DSLR camera
style, without sophistication. If you’re trying to capture a fast moving object
at far distance, you need to try your best because the focusing process is
slightly slow when at longer length. But for other cases, P520 will result in
stunning images which make you extremely proud. Nikon Coolpix P520 appearance
receives high recommendation.
