B.M.C. Audio will introduce its latest
upgrade edition of Arcadia speakers in both features and configuration in
preparation for the CES 2012.
The Arcadia pole loudspeaker models of
B.M.C are absolutely well-known with its one-of-a-kind features such as
balanced drivers with Honeycomb-Kevlar cones; the crossover is externally
connected, and the most impressive one is the cabinet made from resonance-free
ceramic compound which is called “Megalith”.
There are plenty of expected improvements
in features for Arcadia and they mainly involve in connections, wiring, present
structure… of this loudspeaker in which the most outstanding point is the new
professional SpeakON connectors of Neutrik between the crossover and the
cabinets.

The internal wires between the crossover to
speaker are also upgraded dramatically with copper cables produced on the OCC
(Ohno Continuous Casting) process, which allows the purity up to 99,9998%, the
highest quality level of non-military products. The crossover itself has been
redesigned with more wires done by hand in order to result in the low
impedance.
The wire coils in the subwoofer doesn’t use
the round wire any more, they use the pure rectangular wires instead, for
higher density and better bass. This rectangular core is also applied to
internal wires inside the Arcadia loudspeaker.
The middle-range drivers are added with
more magnetic power for greater up middle-range resolution and even
restructured to improve the air streams outside the drivers.
Inside the cabinets, engineers raised the
vertical sound center slightly higher in the purpose of improving all the
soundstage. Besides, the cabinets are designed with stand stuck directly for
better steadiness.
With several minor improvements, Arcadia
continues in maintaining its great sound quality which made its name
well-known. The cabinets are tall and slim with two 11” woofers on each side,
four middle-range drivers, two on the front and two on the back and a
ribbon-shaped Air Motion tweeter. Due to the fact that all Arcadia’s drivers
are balanced, bi-polar design improves the depth of the soundstage, especially
the edge of the sound field.
The upgraded edition of Arcadia will be
introduced in 2 different color options: pearl-white and piano-black with
reference price at approximately $36,300 for a pair.
