BBC Radio is sure to have something for
you, whatever your interests or musical tastes, and the new iPlayer Radio app
for Android is the best way to enjoy it.
The app, which has been available on iOS
since late last year, works really well. Available radio stations are shown at
the bottom of the screen. Swipe through them to see the current program and get
access to previous shows. If you have something more specific in mind, you can
search or use the Categories view.
There is an alarm function so you can wake
to yourfavouritestation.be it music from Radio 2 or the latest news from the
Today program. You can also set reminders for shows.
You can stream, but not download, BBC
podcasts within the app.
To download podcasts use BeyondPod (see
right). Once a program has been broadcast, it only stays on-demand for seven
days.
