The Nokia Asha 201 packs a 2.4-inch, 320 x
240 pixel screens and the kind of QWERTY keyboard you might expect from a
BlackBerry, but it’s lacking any high-speed connectivity. To keep costs down,
there’s no 3G and no Wi-Fi. The Asha 201 deserves to sell by the truckload in
developing nations. But in the competitive UK market, you can pick up a

Easily hitting a great halfway point between

design. With its excellent usability, incredibly low price and handy social
networking features, it’s a very good deal and easy to recommend. And Angry Birds

The Asha 311 is a high-quality feature
phone which packs style, usability and a decent screen. But you can buy a much
better smartphone for less. With the excellent Huawei Ascend G300 and Vodafone
Smart 2 available for less, the Asha 311 struggles slightly, as while it is a
good feature-phone it is crippled by an unrealistically high price tag. Make

We can’t fault the fast processor inside
the Nokia Lumia 710 for performance. And if you’re considering a mid-range
smartphone, you should absolutely put Windows Phone handsets over Android.
While the Lumia 800 and 900 remains the Icings of Windows Phones, their little
brother, the 710, is a good performer. There’s stiff competition ahead and
cheaper Android phones, but the Lumia 710 is ideal for first-time buyers.

For now this remains an EE exclusive, so it
will be interesting to see how the flagship Windows Phone 8 device fares. A
fantastic looking phone with a great interface, grunt under the hood and the
best camera phone in the business. A bit heavy and bulky but outstanding design
a real eye catcher. Like all WP8 devices, the app store is a problem, but this
deserves to do well.
