As the world’s leading trade fair for
consumer electronics and home applicances IFA exhibits the entire product range
of a dynamic and innovative industry. Ever-larger TV screens with pin-sharp
images in brilliant colour, 3D viewing, with and without glasses for TV sets
and computer monitors as well, thin, lightweight, high-performance, fast
ultrabooks, more and more CE, IT and telecom devices with network capabilities,
for the home and on the move- these are the leading trends in the consumer
electronics industry.
From 31 August to 5 September the leading
brands of the home appliances industry will be represented on the Berlin
Exhibition Grounds. Not only do today’s home appliances make life in the home
easier and better, they also reflect such lifestyle trends as healthy cooking,
wellness, the efficient use of energy and conservation of resources as well as
an easy-going lifestyle and maintaining a healthy diet. Simple controls,
intelligent technology and of course, excellent design, are the outstanding
characteristics of the latest electrical home appliances and small appliances
from leading manufactures.
IFA is the world’s most significant trade
show for consumer electronics and home appliance and takes place from 31 August
to 5 September 2012 in Berlin.

160 kilometres of mainly fossil remains
mark the end of the 28-year division of East and West. Parts of the wall have

Commissioned by Friedrich Wilhelm II to
represent peace, the gate ứa ironically embedded in the Berlin Wall and firmly
locked for the duration of Communist rule. The gate now symbolizes
reunification and stands majestically in the centre of Berlin, physically
joining the two sides of the city.

century German archaeologists including the spectacular Pergamon Altar of Zeus
(180 BC).

best museums: the Pergamon Museum, Altes Museum, the Nationalgalerie and the
Bodemuseum. The Berliner Dom, church of the Hohen-zollern family and built in
