Freezing a Pane
Freezing a pane enables you to keep a range
of cells onscreen while you scroll the rest of the cells. For example,
you might want to keep the spreadsheet’s header rows onscreen while you
view data farther down the spreadsheet. You can freeze a portion of the
spreadsheet by following these steps:
1. Tap and hold a cell in the column that you want to freeze.
2. Tap Freeze Pane.
3. The thicker line on the Excel grid indicates which column is frozen.
Unfreezing Cells
When you decide to unfreeze the cells, you
can do so by tapping and holding a cell above the freeze line and then
tapping the Unfreeze Pane option.
Applying Formatting Options
Excel Mobile enables you to apply text effects to cells within your spreadsheet. To modify the text style, follow these steps:
1. Select the cells to which you want to apply a text effect.
2. Tap the Menu icon.
3. Tap Format.
4. To apply standard formatting such as Bold, Italic, or Underline, tap the applicable button.
5. To format a number as a calendar date or time, tap the Date button.
6. To format a number as a form of currency, tap the Currency button.
7. To format a number as a percentage, tap the Percent button.
8. Tap a color in the Font Color group to change the color of the cell’s text.
9. To change the background color of a cell, tap a color in the Fill Color group.
Formatting Ranges
When formatting, you can select a range of cells to which you want to apply these formatting options.
