OPPO makes its mark in Malaysia by launching flagship N1
smartphone and three other models.
OPPO is a smartphone brand that many
local tech enthusiasts have been looking forward to seeing here in Malaysia.
The company has made significant strides in the American and Asian markets, so
it was only a matter of time before they decided to open a branch here in
Malaysia.

OPPO‘s
flagship, the N1 will give just about any other Android smartphone in the
market today a run for its money.
According to William, the research
and development of the OPPO N1 is said to have involved more than 1,500
engineers. They produced 200 patent applications every month for technology
innovations, making the company among the top ranking ones when it came to
technology innovation.
The 5.9-inch OPPO N1 features a Full HD 1080p display,
powered by a Snapdragon 600 processor, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of storage and OPPO’s
pride and joy, the 13MP swiveling camera. The camera is capable of rotating up
to 206 degrees and can be locked at any angle. It also comes with an O-touch
panel on the rear side of the N1, which allows users to use it as a shutter
without the need to touch the front screen.
The N1 is also the first of OPPO’s phones to feature the
Color OS, based on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean, featuring over 400 design
improvements and 37 patents for highly improved usability and looks. For
instance, users can use gestures on the display to do various things such as
activating the display, turning on the camera and such.
OPPO also unveiled three other phones as well, the OPPO Find
5 Mini, the OPPO R1 and the OPPO Neo. The OPPO Find 5 Mini comes with a
4.7-inch display with a resolution of 960 x 540 pixels, powered by a 1.3GHz
quad-core processor, 1GB of RAM, an 8MP camera and also sports OPPO’s Color OS.

The OPPO R1 is a 5-inch phone with a resolution of 1,280x720
pixels with a 1.3GHz quad-core processor and 1GB of RAM. Like the Find 5 Mini,
it is also powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core processor, 1GB of RAM and sports an
8MP rear-facing camera, as well as a 5MP front-facing camera.
The OPPO Neo meanwhile is targeted at the low-end market, and
features a 4.5-inch display with a resolution of 854 x 480 pixels, powered by a
dual-core 1.3GHz processor with 512MB of RAM. Unlike the previous two phones,
this one has a 5MP rear camera and a 2MP front facing camera, running the Color
OS as well.

Available in stores, the OPPO N1 costs $549.07, while the
OPPO Find 5 Mini is $304.77, the OPPO R1 $396.38 and the OPPO Neo $180.17
respectively.
