After several weeks of rumors, Taiwan based
HTC has finally unveiled their latest super smartphone. Rumors going around had
this phone pegged as M7, but this power-packed phone will compete with the
likes of iPhone 5, Blackberry 10 and others in that league - and is simply
called the HTC One. It will be loaded with Android 4.1 - Jellybean operating
OS.

In a bid to capture the market once again,
HTC have left no stone unturned with this phone. HTC One has been equipped with
the best hardware available at the moment. The phone, which has a metal design,
is packed with at 1.7 GHz Qualcomm quad-core processor. It has a 4.7 inch
screen with 1080P resolution and features 2GB RAM. On the looks of it, it might
not seem that different from the HTC Butterfly, but this is where the
similarity ends.
With 32GB or 64GB internal storage being
available there is no support for microSD card. It has a 2.1 mega pixel front
camera and a 4.3 'ultrapixel' rear camera, which is one of its key features.
Apart from this, it will be equipped with a layer of the brand new Sense 5.0
UI. The most prominent changes which HTC Sense brings to the table are
Blinkfeed and Zoe. Blinkfeed feeds relevant news and social network updates to
the user directly on the device's home screen. Zoe on the other hand, utilizes
the camera to take short clips, which it automatically combines into entire
stories. This whole gives the Sense UI 5.0 a new look and feel, which we are
sure the users will love.
At the launch event in the US, an HTC
official said, "For years, people have been misled about what is important
in a camera - what matters is not pixel count, but pixel size. Bigger pixels
let in more light, it's simple physics... We're trying to balance out what a
lens can support and what a sensor can support. We're talking about real image
quality, not just megapixels for the sake of megapixels. The era of the
megapixel is over."
HTC claimed that the camera in its new
phone can capture 300% more light than the cameras in existing phones. It can
also produce better HDR pictures and videos. Just like the camera in Lumia 920,
the camera in HTC One features optical image stabilization. Considering that
HTC have announced the phone a week before one of the largest events in the
mobile industry - The Mobile World Congress, this must be considered as a bold
move. The phone would be available for sales by March end or April beginning.

Simply because the Lumia 920 has one of the
best cameras around and performs exceptionally well even in low light
conditions. Plus, the Windows 8 experience is the most unique of the lot, but
it does lack in the apps department.
