The PIXMA PRO-10 model replaces the PIXMA
Pro9500 MkII model and features a 10-ink pigment-based system with Optimizer Chroma,
which makes it become ideal for amateur photographers and semi-professionals to
do the job with a variety of media. The PRO-10 boasts a print speed of
approximately 3 minutes 35 seconds for A3+ with bordered images, whether black
or white.

Features
The Canon PIXMA Pro-10 has a total of 10 ink
tanks, three of which are reserved for black and white printing, and one of
them is dedicated to chrome optimizer, which helps make shadows and even print
photos.

The Pixma Pro-10 features a 10-ink pigment
system which Canon says has been improved since the Pro9500 MkII product series,
currently including the latest Canon LUCIA ink and the updated color tables. The
PRO-10 includes Chroma Optimizer ink inherited from the PIXMA PRO-1. Applied on
top of the printer, this clear ink expands color gamut, increasing black
density and uniform glossiness for the prints.
As the PIXMA PRO-100, the PRO-10 supports
media of sizes up to A3+ and gives support to manual paper tray in the rear
with the gradually curved design, making it easier for Fine Art Media up to 14”
wide into the printer.
Sample products are compatible with a wide
range of ICC profiles. In addition, Canon has introduced a new Photo Paper Pro
Luster (LU-101), smooth quality and consistency at the light display, producing
the final professional prints.
There are two rear paper supports, one
larger and curved for large paper. One front supports for card or printable
CD/DVDs using the tray.
The printer uses 14ml ink per cartridge.
Replacing a cartridge costs about $132 for a set of 10 genuine Canon
cartridges. The cartridge includes 6 colors: magenta, cyan, yellow, red, pink,
blue, 3 black colors: dark black, matte black, gray, and Chroma Optimizer.

Manipulation
The Canon PIXMA Pro printer-10 is a large-structured
printer with large buttons to help disguise its appearance. It is solidly
assembled with thick plastic. Six large rubber feet on the bottom of the
printer prevent it from moving around during printing process.
The
printing process
Installing the software does not take much
time, just about 10-15 minutes to connect to the printer through a wireless
network. The main emphasis is on the activities taking more time in the setup
process a little, and the guidance seems not easy enough to follow as with other
printers. Installation is very easy to implement using the Wi-Fi button quickly
on the printer and wireless router; you simply press the button on the router,
then press the button on the printer for about three seconds. The Canon
software installation process guides you on the screen, and when you are setting
up, you can print a test page to make sure it works correctly.
The
paper tray
During the installation, you can choose to
use either a USB cable, or Ethernet or Wi-Fi. This means that you can set up the
printer without a USB cable, although it still comes in the box in case if
necessary.
The
CD / DVD tray
In front is a paper feed drop down flap;
this is where you can also set the CD / DVD tray to print on compatible discs.
