Koolance FAN-12025HBK

Koolance Inc. is a manufacturer well-known for its liquid cooling systems and relevant components. Among the recent products is the 120mm Koolance FAN-12025HBK. It is packed as an OEM product without any box or accessories.

The Koolance FAN-12025HBK looks common with a black frame and a glossy 7-blade impeller:

Its dimension is 120x120x25mm and its weight is 14g. Made in China, the model costs $10, coming with a 1-year warranty.

The blades have broad angles and sharp edges. The frame’s inferior surface is beveled yet these cut-edges are smoothly sharpened.

There are cushion pads in the frame’s corners thus you won’t be able to tight the fan closely by using the holes in the interior surface. The diameter of impeller and motor are, respectively, 113mm and 43mm.

The Koolance FAN-12025HBK has its speed fixed at 2,600RPM and it is not adjustable by any method. Its specs promise to bring an air flow of 107.6CFM and a static pressure of 5.4mm of water at the noise of 32.8dBA.

The Koolance FAN-12025HBK features a common Dual Ball Bearing technology. Though using no technology, it obtains the same longevity as other models. However, its specs do not indicate it. As for power parameter, the fan Eata 3.36W of power at 0.28A.

The cable’s length is around 0.5m. There isn’t any PATA power adapter inbox. That’s what we can tell about this fan model.

Koolance FAN-12038HBK-184

If the previous Koolance products aren’t strong enough for you, you may feel pleased with the FAN-12038HBK-184 model.

The Koolance FAN-12038HBK-184 is this review’s only model that is 38mm thick. It weighs around 36g and incorporates a 112mm impeller and a 60mm motor.

However, the 11 blades are not 38mm thick. Actually, the impeller’s thickness is as only half: 19mm. The other half of thickness is for blades which regulate the airflow.

It is crucial because the air flow needs focusing on the object which are being cooled, in term with the highest speed of the fan (4,000RPM). The Koolance FAN-12038HBK-184 is defined to have an airflow record of 183.5CFM. Even the Scythe featuring the higher speed couldn’t do that, at least, regarding its specs. The rest of the key features are quite proper, too: a static pressure of 20.4mm of water and a noise level of 59dBA.

This model uses a dual ball bearing technology. Its power specs are very impressive: over 2A and 24W!

LEPA 70D (LP70D12R)

LEPA turns up in this review with 4 products. The first is the 70D (LP70D12R). Its cardboard box has a big plastic window through which you can see the impeller inside. Key features are also on the box.

The packaging

Specs are listed in detail on the back. The fan is accompanied with screws and a PATA power adapter for a 12V, 7V or 5V power.

The accessories

The accessories

The fan is made in China and priced at about $10, with a 1-year warranty. The LEPA 70D is very lightweight (107g). It owns a classic design incorporating a 120mm-diameter fan: a black plastic frame and a gray 7-blade 111mm impeller.

The product’s image

LEPA engineers must have a simple thought with this 70D version as they developing a product that is totally unremarkable.

The product viewed from a tilt angle

The speed is specified at 1,600RPM but you can lower it with the internal adapter down to 1,200 or 900 RPM by connecting to 7V or 5V source respectively. The top airflow is specified to be 64.5CFM at 24dBA of noise plus a static pressure of 1.9mm of water. These parameters vary when the fan is connected to the adapter listed in the table above.

The LEPA 70D looking smooth is well-known for its only feature. It is the first product that has ever used self-lubricating Barometric oil with low resistance and a longevity of 100,000h. Another feature of the fan is to create a temperatures of 70°C for surround environment. It’s your decision whether it’s good or not for computer.

The motor’s diameter is 40mm. You can see the manufacturer’s name, model number, power specs and country of origin stickers.
