Corsair Hydro High Performance H100i

Hydro H100i Extreme Performance used to be the Corsair top product until this company launched the H110 model with 140 mm fans and the 280x140 mm radiator, so H110i is the second best model in the hierarchical system of Corsair liquid cooling products. We hope to test another new top product in the near future, but at present let’s consider the Hydro H100i Extreme Performance.

The packaging is similar to H80i model, but larger.

Hydro H100i Extreme Performance is priced at $20 which is $10 more than the H80i. Its warranty time and country of origin are the same.

This system works basing on the high performance Asetek 570LX platform.

Its feature is the larger 278x120x27mm aluminum radiator (the body part of the radiator is 17 mm thick), which in fact is the basically difference between H100i with H80i.

The radiator can carry a maximum of 4 120mm fans. You tied them with the additional screws and the holes on both sides of the radiator.

The system has the same pump like the H80i. You can connect 4 fans and a Corsair Link interface to it.

Hydro H100i Extreme Performance requires that your computer case must have 2 rooms for 120mm fans on the back or top of the cover panel. That is where you install the radiator.

The radiator installation

Otherwise, you have to choose another cooling system or find your custom way to install it.

Besides testing the Hydro H100i Extreme Performance in its standard configuration with 2 fans, we also tested it with two external identical fans which we took from the Corsair H80i system.

By this way, the H100i has the same fans as the H80i: Corsair SP120L.

Thermaltake Water 2.0 Pro (CLW0216)

The Thermaltake Water 2.0 Pro

The Thermaltake Water 2.0 Pro

The Thermaltake Water 2.0 Pro is not a Thermaltake top product. The top product is the Thermaltake Water 2.0 Pro (CLW0217) which features a larger radiator; however, the Pro version is too great.

The packaging is easy to be recognized and solemn. The image on its front seems to illustrate the cooling device when it is not covered.

The designer certainly wants to suggest some other association.

The accessories of Water 2.0 Pro are the same as consisted of Thermaltake system that we tested previously. It is manufactured in China.

The Thermaltake Water 2.0 Pro is available on the market now with the suggested price of $109.

This system is clearly pure with Asetek 570LC with thick radiator and ordinary pump/ water block system around:

So, we don’t need to go into details because this system includes the same things as usual: a radiator, a water block with pump and tubes.

The radiator is smaller than the Corsair H80i, its size is 151x112x41 mm but it has 9 tubes rather than 6 identical heat pipes.

The distance between the folds in the panel is larger to reduce resistance for airflow. The sticker image on the radiator shows you the name of the manufacturer and the power rating (3.1 watts).

According to our measurements, the pump consumes 3:25 watts, which is not much different from the determined values in technical standards. There is no difference from the four things discussed in the first part of this review.

The installation process for Water 2.0 Pro is described in detail in the official website of the company. Stuck to the back of the cover panel with our equipment, the cooling system looks like this:

With the fans installed to take air for system computer, Thermaltake Water 2.0 Pro makes CPU cool better from 2-30C than the fans installed with the exhausting- air style. That is the reason why we tested it (and similar to the rest of the cooler) with the fans installed with the taking-air style like that.
