The latest video wall mount released by
audio-visual firm B-Tech, the BT8310 Professional Video Wall Mount, has set new
standards of simplicity and ease of use. Reaction to the new product has been extraordinary
– not least because of its revolutionary “quick-lock push system”, an
enterprising design which means the video wall screens can be popped out and
back in again simply by pushing them, giving instant access to the rear for
maintenance.
With many other systems the installer has
to scramble around the back of the display to pull lock release levers, but
with the BT8310 when a screen in the configuration is pushed back it pops out
in the same way you push the button on the end of a pen. This gives immediate
access to the mount and everything behind it which might require maintenance or
need adjustment. After the work is completed the screen is simply pushed back
in and locks automatically into the video-wall.

Yet another important and time-saving
element of B-Tech’s BT8310 product are the spacer kits that come with them,
cutting out any need for guesswork or complicated calculations, and enable
installers to confidently know exactly where each bracket goes. And what’s
more, unlike other systems, the same kit can be used for one video-wall and
then utilized for future installations too.
Featuring eight adjustment knobs to
fine-tune the display and get the alignment perfectly accurate (without any
tools at all), this micro adjustment design enables screens to be aligned
perfectly even if the wall they are mounted on is not.

Pad it out
This may seem an unusual choice to appear
in this section, but after the apps we’ve just looked at, you may be wondering
where to turn if you’re thinking of going down the increasingly popular Android
route either with the way you personally check and control systems or, indeed,
what you want to recommend to your clients. So, let’s look at this: the MultiPad
from Prestigio; I know, we’d never heard of them either until we called a
review model into the office or were left suitably impressed.

802.11b/g/n, an 800x480 LCD TFT 16:9 multi-touch display, G-sensor and a
built-in microphone and speaker. However, unlike its paddy pal, the Prestigio
also comes with a USB 2.0 port, USB-host for a 3G dongle (amongst other
things), and a memory card slot that supports micro SD and lest owners expand
capacity to 32GB. Throw in a web camera and, of course, access to Google’s
700,000+ apps Play store, and that’s an awful lot of Android for $150.
Well-built to boot, with Android out-shipping Apple, if you haven’t already,
it’s probably a very good time to get familiar. Yes, this is the droid you’re
looking for...

it isn’t always possible because the area also needs to be well-lit. Draper’s
new product allows for the use of projection without compromising on
lighting.”
