PC case

Corsair is well known for large, high-end PC cases from its Obsidian series, and now it is also joining the smaller form factor mATX market with the Obsidian 350D. mATX is also known as microATX which refers to the motherboard size, being one size down from standard ATX.

Whilst the 350D is not the smallest mATX case available- in fact there are full ATX cases which are a tiny bit smaller than the 350D - it is definitely one of the most water cooling- friendly.

This is primarily due to the twin 120mm/140mm grilled mounts at the top of the chassis, which can accommodate radiators up to 280mm, such as the Corsair H110. The motherboard tray has also been dropped down slightly to give enough clearance between the motherboard and any radiator fans.

There are three holes in the back panel for water loops, two front 140mm mounts (with one 140mm fan included) and one rear 120mm mount (with one 120mm fan included).

The almost completely steel construction is typically high standard with an attractive brushed aluminum fascia, and assembling my mATX rig into the 350D was a pleasant experience thanks to the tool-less drive bays and ample cable management options. My only complaint would be that there are two 3.5-inch drive bays and three 2.5-inch bays - the other way around would make more sense to me.

If you are looking for an attractive, high quality but smaller form factor case to build a performance PC - it can even fit two of the massive AMD Radeon HD 7990 video cards in it - the 350D ticks all the boxes.
