Canon PowerShot SX280 HS is a compact pocketed camera with the body made from metal. There’s a plastic bar jutted out on the front of the camera to support the grasping process, though there’s nothing on the back, besides the dial modes to hold on to. It works pretty well in a role of a gripping, though in general the camera has small size and lacks adherence we’ll recommend you using the wrist strap to avoid some accidents. This camera offers a good feeling in term of structure and compact design so it fits the pocket perfectly. There’s an electric flash pop-up controlling window that will automatically pop up when the flash is on and will automatically close when the flash is off.

Manual focusing process is available flash mode and the camera produces the most common optional image which makes it easy to select and change the settings. Wi-Fi

You can connect the camera with a currently existing Wi-Fi network, or create a Wi-Fi ad-hoc network, then connect the camera with your phone. Using Canon Camera Window app on iOS or Android, you can view the images and transfer them onto your smartphone or share, as well as use the smartphone as a GPS device (for other cameras it will be no built-in GPS), or if you prefer using your smartphone, not the camera.

Camera battery

Battery life

Battery life is rated at 210 shots according to the testing result of Canon / CIPA, as the camera has integrated with GPS and Wi-Fi, expected battery life will be much shorter when using these features so, a backup battery is necessary.

Speed

We have taken some images to rest the response of the camera, from opening the first shots, shot by shot, focusing speed etc. we have some images and use the average to make sure that the test is accurate and consistent, making it easier to compare with other cameras.

·         Shutter Response: <0.05

·         Wide - Focus / Shutter Response: 0.2

·         Full zoom - Focus / Shutter Response: 0.3

·         Switch on Time to Taking a Photo: 1.5

·         Shot to Shot without Flash: 1.4

·         Shot to Shot with Flash: 2.6

·         Continuous Shooting – JPEG: 3fps Normal modes; 14fps (7 shots) High Speed mode

·         Continuous Shooting – Flash: 1.7s

Shutter response and focus are good though the time for the flash to turn on is a little slow.
