Samsung NX2000 is a Samsung mirror-less
amateur camera which has changeable NX mount lens, 20.3-megapixel APS-C CMOS
sensor, as well as one of the largest screens in line of mirror-less cameras
with high-resolution 3.7-inch touchscreen. NX2000 costs $749 and is included Adobe
Lightroom in box.

Samsung NX2000 has
20.3-megapixel APS-C CMOS sensor and Samsung NX mount lens, with some available
lenses including 20-50mm kit lenses coming with. At the back of camera, there
is a high-resolution touchscreen with 3.7-inch width, it is the largest screen
in the number of mirror-less cameras until Samsung declared that Samsung Galaxy
NX had 4.3-inch touchscreen.

Videos are made in Full HD mode with stereo
sound, and camera can take photo up to 8fps at maximum resolution. It has command
dial button on the top which allows changing settings quickly, as well as
i-function button on the lens lets you use front lens ring to change normal
settings.

Designs
on the body
The camera has plastic body, with
large-textured holder in front side, as well as a thumb grip in the backside.
On the top of body, it is to put flash light, and because there are no flash
lights inside, a small pop-up one that is the same color with camera is equipped.
The command wheel on the top is used to
choose shooting mode, there are four modes: auto, smart, advance, and Wi-Fi
option. When in the mode, command dial wheel can be pushed to select supplement
settings; for example, push it in the aperture priority mode, you can set up
aperture according to your opinions.

There are a minimum number of buttons on
camera, with On/Off, shooting button, and direct link also command dial wheel
as showing above; and in the back there are only three buttons including video
recording button, Home, and playback. The menu is arranged closely, and can be
rolled and chosen by using touchscreen with large-sized and easy-to-read
options.
Battery,
memory slot, and tripod socket
Under the camera is a normal tripod socket
and batter/ Micro SD/SDHC/SDXC memory slot, and battery life is rated at 340
shots according to Samsung/CIPA standard, with charging feature through
provided MicroUSB cable/ AC/ USB adaptor. Using Wi-Fi wastes battery noticeably
and we recommend you should keep your camera charged fully or have available
battery if you are supposed to use Wi-Fi a lot.

NFC can be used with a compatible
smartphone to set up link, Samsung NX2000 has sharing mode via Wi-Fi that is
very easy to use. You can log on public Wi-Fi connections, and use integrated
web-logon browsers.
We have taken some photos to test
responsiveness of camera, from warm-up to the first shot, shot-to-shot,
focusing speed, etc. We took some shots and then used average level to ensure
the accurateness and consistency of tests, which helps compare to other cameras
more easily.

Shutter response is very fast, although
focusing sometimes maybe slow, especially in condition of weak light. Time for
shot to shot and continuous shooting is good in JPEG that allows you to take 12
shots before slow down; however, when using Raw mode, this speed reduces of 5
shots before stopping.
