Fujifilm FinePix F900EXR is an update
version of Fujifilm FinePix F800EXR and shares the same 20x optical zoom lens, 3inch
screen, built-in Wi-Fi, but adds a 16.1 megapixel EXR II CMOS back-lit sensor
with phase-detected focus.

The biggest and clearest feature of Fujifilm
FinePix F900EXR is the 20x wide-angled optical zoom lens, which comes with the
sensor-shift image vibration reduction and a 16.1 megapixel backlit CMOS sensor
allowing high speed continuous shooting, as well as full HD video. The backlit
CMOS sensor uses the unique EXR sensor of Fujifilm, with a replaceable color
filter, which allows Fujifilm to combine the ambient pixels in order to improve
lowlight shots, or replace the improved light-sensitive range – though it’s
owing to the combined pixels, image size for these images is limited at 8
megapixels.
F900 uses a new sensor with phase-detected AF
focus, promising to provide the world’s fastest focus speed. Wifi connection is
also enhanced to add a new back-up for PC.

Fujifilm FinePix F900EXR appears with lots of colors, this one is in
red, with a soft coating to the plastic top of the camera, and the smooth red
paint on the rest of the metal body. There’s a good-sized rubber gripping on
the front and a spiky rubber pad on the back for your finger, though using hand
strap is recommended. On the top is a small Fn button in addition to a familiar
power button, shutter release button and zoom control. The flash is released by
the manual button on the left of the camera, and to close it you just need to
simply push it down. On the back are the control dial, and the playback, video,
display and E-Fn buttons, as well as 4-d controller with menu/ok button and the
wheel. The camera has well-built feeling, though the swapping combination of
the red hues is interesting, and I’m not sure if it does mean so or it just
ends hat way. Steve Job (RIP, will wonder if you’re still here.

260 shots for each charge
Battery life is rated at 260 shots
according to the testing result of Fujifilm / CIPA, though using much Wi-Fi will
lower this number.
We take lots of shots to check the
responsiveness of the image, from turning on to the first shot, shot by shot,
focusing speed etc. we take lots of shots then take the average to make sure
that the resting result is accurate and consistent, making it easier to compare
with other cameras.
